The record browser view displays folders for configuring features within StatPak-PC. The functionality of this view is the same as Windows® Explorer® where folders displayed in the left pane can contain sub-folders and files, which can be displayed in the right pane.

This organization of important configuration information presents data in an intuitive and logical manner that is easy to navigate. Modeling your materials, recipes, customers, and operators, as well as viewing data on closed production runs makes StatPak-PC one of the easiest programs to set up and use.

StatPak-PC is currently configured to receive weight data from up to 64 independent production scales through serial COM ports on your PC. From 1 to 16 serial COM ports on a PC can be accessed by StatPak-PC, with configuration of each COM port provided through the HOSTS folder shown in the Record Browser View.

The above image shows COM1 configured to accept incoming data at a rate of 19250 Baud, No Parity, 8 Data Bits, and 1 Stop Bit. The Connection Type shows the actual hardware configuration of a system with the field devices connected through a multiplexer (MUX) to the PC. Information on multiplexers can be found in the Hardware Section.

This screen image is presented for configuration of each COM port connected to StatPak-PC. The user selects the port, then selects Baud, Parity, Data Bits, Stop Bit, and can then set up both head and tail control characters that may surround the incoming data. This configuration is described in detail within StatPak-PC’s manual, and provides the user with a very easy to use interface for configuring the PC’s COM ports.

The screen shown here displays the contents of the “Lines” folder, which contains detailed information on each production line connected to StatPak-PC. In this example, the user has created two (2) production lines. Editing or creating lines requires entry of information about the scale device and particular data transmitted by this device.

This shows a sample of the actual configuration screen. A logical name for the production line can be entered as well, making recognition of this information easy for anyone using StatPak-PC.

Clicking on the Materials folder shows all materials (products you package or manufacture) that have been entered into the database. The example to the left shows two materials; 50 lb. Cement and 50 lb. Sand have already been created. An infinite number of Materials can be created and edited, with any Material used by any production line. As with Production Line creation, Materials are easily created, modified, or deleted.

Step-by-step logical entry of parameters for Materials is provided in this screen. Critical data, such as target weights, reject limits, and discard limits are entered, with tools provided for automating this process. Changes to these parameters are tracked by attaching an automatically incremental version number to each set of changes.

The screen shown to the left details the data entry screen for Recipe creation. No other software product offers the power and ease of use provided by StatPak-PC’s Line, Material, and Recipe creation capabilities.

Users may also enter information regarding their customers, later associating each with a particular Material or specific production run. Parameters for the customer name and a unique code can be entered.

Users may also enter information regarding their operators, later associating each with a particular Material or specific production run. Parameters for the operator name and a unique code can be entered.

Here the user can edit the recipe by entering in the discard, reject, pass, and target weights for the product. Container weights(TARE) for products can be entered as well. StatPak-PC automatically recognizes materials used on scales such as bulk bag or drum fillers, and uses the tare for each new empty container to be filled.

This example shows, the Closed Runs folder containing all data on all completed production runs or all production lines. Data is organized in a logical and meaningful manner by date. With a few mouse clicks, you can drill down to the specific data of interest, displaying summary data on all production on a specific day or time. This extremely powerful feature is unique to StatPak-PC and makes data retrieval fast and error free.

The Status Monitor provides the user with immediate access to ALL connected production scales. Simply select the production line of interest at the top of the screen, and all pertinent data relating to this production line is displayed below. Features within this screen allow the user to configure the way in which information is updated and displayed, providing great flexibility.

This screen contains four scalable sections that can be sized by dragging with the mouse to increase or decrease any portion of the screen.

This is the print dialog box. Here the user can select the type of form, the title of the form, and whether to print the form to a printer or to display the form on the monitor.
